  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Halve the onions and peel them.
  3. 3. Dice the onions into small cubes.
  4. 4. Cut the smoked tofu into small cubes as well.
  5. 5. Heat oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  6. 6. Fry the onions for about 3 minutes.
  7. 7. Add the smoked tofu to the pan.
  8. 8. Fry the mixture for another 3 minutes.
  9. 9. Season everything with salt and pepper.
  10. 10. Let the onion and tofu mixture cool down briefly.
  11. 11. Mix the cooled mixture with Reibegenuss (a grated vegetable mix) in a bowl.
  12. 12. Place the pizza dough on baking paper.
  13. 13. Roll out the dough slightly with a rolling pin.
  14. 14. Spread the filling mixture lengthwise in the center of the dough.
  15. 15. Ensure that one third of the dough is covered in the center.
  16. 16. Leave about 5 centimeters of dough free at the short ends.
  17. 17. Fold the short ends over the filling.
  18. 18. Place the long dough edges over the filling.
  19. 19. Make sure the dough overlaps and covers the filling.
  20. 20. Press the dough down lightly.
  21. 21. Carefully turn the dough roll so that the seam is at the bottom.
  22. 22. Press the roll with a ladle handle at intervals of 8 centimeters.
  23. 23. This creates four individual handbread pieces.
  24. 24. Lightly cut the surface of the handbreads down to the filling.
  25. 25. Bake the handbreads in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  26. 26. Wash the chives and shake them dry.
  27. 27. Cut the chives into fine rings.
  28. 28. Season the vegan cream with salt and pepper to taste.
  29. 29. Stir the chives into the cream.
  30. 30. Take the handbreads out of the oven.
  31. 31. Separate them into four parts at the indentations.
  32. 32. Serve the handbreads with one tablespoon of the vegan cream.
