🍽️ Vegan Handbread with Smoked Tofu and Onions

Ingredients
- onions, red 2 pcs.
- smoked tofu 200 g
- oil 2 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- Vemondo Grating Delight 100 g
- pizza dough with tomato sauce 1 pcs.
- chives, fresh 10 g
- Vemondo Vegan Cream 5 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Halve the onions and peel them.
- 3. Dice the onions into small cubes.
- 4. Cut the smoked tofu into small cubes as well.
- 5. Heat oil in a frying pan over high heat.
- 6. Fry the onions for about 3 minutes.
- 7. Add the smoked tofu to the pan.
- 8. Fry the mixture for another 3 minutes.
- 9. Season everything with salt and pepper.
- 10. Let the onion and tofu mixture cool down briefly.
- 11. Mix the cooled mixture with Reibegenuss (a grated vegetable mix) in a bowl.
- 12. Place the pizza dough on baking paper.
- 13. Roll out the dough slightly with a rolling pin.
- 14. Spread the filling mixture lengthwise in the center of the dough.
- 15. Ensure that one third of the dough is covered in the center.
- 16. Leave about 5 centimeters of dough free at the short ends.
- 17. Fold the short ends over the filling.
- 18. Place the long dough edges over the filling.
- 19. Make sure the dough overlaps and covers the filling.
- 20. Press the dough down lightly.
- 21. Carefully turn the dough roll so that the seam is at the bottom.
- 22. Press the roll with a ladle handle at intervals of 8 centimeters.
- 23. This creates four individual handbread pieces.
- 24. Lightly cut the surface of the handbreads down to the filling.
- 25. Bake the handbreads in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
- 26. Wash the chives and shake them dry.
- 27. Cut the chives into fine rings.
- 28. Season the vegan cream with salt and pepper to taste.
- 29. Stir the chives into the cream.
- 30. Take the handbreads out of the oven.
- 31. Separate them into four parts at the indentations.
- 32. Serve the handbreads with one tablespoon of the vegan cream.
