  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection). Chop the dark chocolate coating and the walnuts finely. Peel the bananas and mash four of them in a bowl with a fork. Cut the fifth banana in half lengthwise.
  2. 2. Add oil, cane sugar and cinnamon to the bowl and mix everything with a hand mixer and a whisk. Add flour, baking powder and vinegar and stir until you have a smooth batter. Fold in the walnuts and the dark chocolate coating.
  3. 3. Grease a loaf pan with oil and dust it with breadcrumbs. Pour the batter evenly into the pan. Place the halved banana on top of the batter, press it in slightly and bake the whole thing in the oven for about 50 minutes.
  4. 4. Take the banana bread out of the oven, let it cool for a moment and turn it out of the pan. Decorate with beet syrup if desired, cut into pieces and serve. Enjoy your meal! Tip: Ripe, almost brown bananas give this cake particularly good flavor and a pleasant sweetness.
