  3. 3. Let the mixture rest covered for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Add flour, salt, and 6 tablespoons of oil.
  5. 5. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  6. 6. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  7. 7. Halve the yellow onions and peel them.
  8. 8. Slice the onions into strips.
  9. 9. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  10. 10. Sauté the onion strips in it.
  11. 11. Season the onions with salt, pepper, and caraway.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.
  13. 13. Knead the risen dough again.
  14. 14. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  15. 15. Ensure the dough fits the size of the baking tray.
  16. 16. Place the dough on a deep baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  17. 17. Use a fork to create a small border on the dough.
  18. 18. Peel the red onion.
  19. 19. Slice the red onion into rings.
  20. 20. Wash the thyme and shake it dry.
  21. 21. Strip the thyme leaves from the stems.
  22. 22. Mix soy yogurt, thyme, and the prepared onions in a bowl.
  23. 23. Spread the onion mixture onto the yeast dough.
  24. 24. Top the pie with the red onion rings.
  25. 25. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes.
