  3. 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pot over high heat.
  4. 4. Sauté the apple cubes for about 3 minutes.
  5. 5. Deglaze the apple mixture with wheat beer.
  6. 6. Add the sauerkraut to the pot.
  7. 7. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  8. 8. Mix vegan spread, mustard, and sweet mustard in a bowl.
  9. 9. Season the mustard cream with salt and pepper.
  10. 10. Peel and wash the potatoes.
  11. 11. Grate the potatoes coarsely.
  12. 12. Peel the onion and grate it coarsely.
  13. 13. Mix potatoes, onion, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  14. 14. Squeeze out the excess liquid from the potato mixture.
  15. 15. Discard the squeezed-out liquid.
  16. 16. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  17. 17. Shape 4 equal-sized rösti patties from the mixture using your hands.
  18. 18. Fry the rösti patties for about 6 minutes until golden brown on all sides.
  19. 19. Drain the finished rösti patties on kitchen paper.
  20. 20. Set the rösti patties aside.
  21. 21. Fry the vegan patties in the pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
  22. 22. Flip the patties.
  23. 23. Place the vegan cheese slices on the patties.
  24. 24. Close the lid of the frying pan.
  25. 25. Let the slices melt for about 3 minutes.
  26. 26. Set the finished patties aside on a plate.
  27. 27. Slice the burger buns open.
  28. 28. Toast the cut sides of the buns in the hot pan for about 1 minute.
  29. 29. Spread 1 tablespoon of mustard cream on the cut sides of the buns.
  30. 30. Place the vegan patties on the buns.
  31. 31. Place the rösti patties on the vegan patties.
  32. 32. Add the apple sauerkraut on top.
  33. 33. Close the burgers.
  34. 34. Serve the burgers.
