🍰 Vegan cherry-chocolate crumble with vanilla ice cream

Ingredients
- cherries, fresh 500 g
- lemons 1 pc.
- vanilla sugar 1 packet
- margarine, vegan 100 g
- sugar 70 g
- hazelnut kernels, ground 40 g
- spelt flour, Type 630 180 g
- chocolate chips 3 tbsp
- vegan vanilla ice cream 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the cherries.
- 3. Halve the cherries and remove the pits.
- 4. Wash the lemon under running water.
- 5. Grate the fine zest of the lemon using a grater.
- 6. Cut the lemon in half.
- 7. Squeeze the juice from one of the lemon halves.
- 8. Place the cherry halves into a baking dish.
- 9. Sprinkle the cherries with vanilla sugar.
- 10. Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to the cherries.
- 11. Add the grated lemon zest to the cherries.
- 12. Mix the cherries with the ingredients and let them marinate briefly.
- 13. Set the prepared cherries aside.
- 14. Take a large bowl.
- 15. Add soft margarine to the bowl.
- 16. Add sugar to the bowl.
- 17. Add ground hazelnuts to the bowl.
- 18. Add flour to the bowl.
- 19. Knead the ingredients together into crumbly streusel.
- 20. If the dough is too dry, add one to two tablespoons of water.
- 21. Distribute the streusel evenly over the cherries in the baking dish.
- 22. Distribute the chocolate drops evenly over the streusel.
- 23. Place the baking dish into the preheated oven.
- 24. Bake the crumble for about 25 minutes.
- 25. Remove the crumble from the oven when it is golden brown.
- 26. Carefully take the baking dish out of the oven.
- 27. Portion the crumble onto individual plates.
- 28. Serve the crumble lukewarm.
- 29. Add a scoop of vegan vanilla ice cream.
