🍽️ Vegan Hot Dogs with Apple Sauerkraut

Ingredients
- Apples, red 4 pcs
- Oil 3 tbsp
- sauerkraut 300 g
- Pickles 4 pcs
- Baguette 2 pcs
- Vegan Bratwurst 4 pcs
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Sweet Mustard 4 tsp
- Ketchup 4 tsp
- Fried Onions 4 tbsp
- Salt Pinch
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apples and cut them into quarters.
- 2. Remove the core from the apple quarters.
- 3. Cut the apple pieces into small cubes.
- 4. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pot.
- 5. Sauté the apple cubes for two to three minutes.
- 6. Add the sauerkraut to the apples.
- 7. Let the mixture simmer gently for about five minutes.
- 8. Drain the pickles.
- 9. Slice the pickles.
- 10. Cut the baguettes in half horizontally.
- 11. Open the buns like a book without cutting all the way through.
- 12. Heat the remaining oil in a pan over medium to high heat.
- 13. Fry the vegan sausages for five to six minutes on all sides.
- 14. Season the warm sauerkraut with salt and sugar.
- 15. Spread sweet mustard on the baguettes.
- 16. Spread ketchup on the baguettes as well.
- 17. Place one fried sausage into each bun.
- 18. Top the hot dogs with the apple sauerkraut as desired.
- 19. Add fried onions if desired.
- 20. Garnish the hot dogs with the pickle slices.
