🍰 Vegan Halloween French Toast Sandwiches with Peanut Butter and Cherry Jelly

Ingredients
- oat drink 300 ml
- Vemondo vegan egg replacer 3 tbsp
- sugar 1 tbsp
- sandwich toast 8 slices
- peanut butter 4 tbsp
- sour cherry jam 4 tbsp
- margarine, vegan 2 tbsp
- powdered sugar 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Pour oat milk, plant-based egg replacer, and sugar into a shallow bowl.
- 2. Whisk the ingredients in the bowl with a fork or whisk until the sugar has dissolved.
- 3. Spread one tablespoon of peanut butter onto two slices of toast.
- 4. Spread sour cherry jam onto the same two slices of toast.
- 5. Place the peanut butter slices on top of the jam slices to form sandwiches.
- 6. Dip the sandwiches one by one into the oat milk mixture.
- 7. Turn the sandwiches in the liquid so that both sides are well coated.
- 8. Melt margarine in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 9. Place the soaked sandwiches into the hot pan.
- 10. Fry the sandwiches for about three minutes on the first side until golden brown.
- 11. Turn the sandwiches and fry them on the second side for another three minutes until golden brown.
- 12. Remove the finished sandwiches from the pan and place them on plates.
- 13. Gently press the sandwiches together so that the jam oozes out at the edges.
- 14. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the sandwiches.
- 15. Optionally, place a Halloween stencil on the toast, sprinkle the powdered sugar over it, and carefully lift the stencil away.
