  1. 1. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings.
  2. 2. Wash the peppers, remove the hard stem, and chop them finely.
  3. 3. Separate the individual lettuce leaves from the core, wash them, and spin them dry.
  4. 4. Wash the tomatoes, remove the core, and slice them into thin rounds.
  5. 5. Heat the margarine and flour in a pot on high heat and whisk them together for about 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Pour in the Barista oat drink and whisk the mixture until smooth.
  7. 7. Let the sauce simmer gently on medium heat while stirring constantly for about 3 minutes until it becomes creamy.
  8. 8. Reduce the heat to low, add the vegan cheese slices, and stir them in.
  9. 9. Add the chopped peppers and chili to the sauce and mix everything well.
  10. 10. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, cover the pot, and set it aside.
  11. 11. Heat oil in a frying pan on high heat.
  12. 12. Fry the onion rings in it for about 4 minutes until golden brown.

  14. 14. Fry the vegan burger patties in the same pan for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
