🍽️ Vegan Chili Burgers with Homemade Sauce

Ingredients
- onions, yellow 2 pcs.
- chili pepper mix 3 pcs.
- mixed leaf salad 0.25 pcs.
- beef tomatoes 1 pcs.
- margarine, vegan 1 tbsp.
- wheat flour, type 405 2 tbsp.
- oat drink barista 400 ml
- vegan sliceable cheese 8 slices
- chili, ground 1 tsp.
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- oil 2 tbsp.
- Vemondo vegan burger patties 4 pcs.
- hamburger buns 4 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings.
- 2. Wash the peppers, remove the hard stem, and chop them finely.
- 3. Separate the individual lettuce leaves from the core, wash them, and spin them dry.
- 4. Wash the tomatoes, remove the core, and slice them into thin rounds.
- 5. Heat the margarine and flour in a pot on high heat and whisk them together for about 2 minutes.
- 6. Pour in the Barista oat drink and whisk the mixture until smooth.
- 7. Let the sauce simmer gently on medium heat while stirring constantly for about 3 minutes until it becomes creamy.
- 8. Reduce the heat to low, add the vegan cheese slices, and stir them in.
- 9. Add the chopped peppers and chili to the sauce and mix everything well.
- 10. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, cover the pot, and set it aside.
- 11. Heat oil in a frying pan on high heat.
- 12. Fry the onion rings in it for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 13. Remove the onions from the pan and place them on a plate.
- 14. Fry the vegan burger patties in the same pan for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- 15. Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a plate as well.
- 16. Halve the burger buns and toast them in the pan with the cut side down for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
- 17. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, patty, onions, and chili sauce according to your preference.
- 18. Serve the burgers immediately and enjoy!
