  2. 2. Pour 300 milliliters of very cold water into the bowl.
  3. 3. Stir the mixture thoroughly until everything is well combined.
  4. 4. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let the mixture swell.
  5. 5. Wash the tomato under running water.
  6. 6. Slice the washed tomato into thin rounds.
  7. 7. Let the cucumbers drain.
  8. 8. Slice the cucumbers as well.
  9. 9. Carefully separate the lettuce leaves from each other.
  10. 10. Wash the individual lettuce leaves.
  11. 11. Dry the lettuce leaves thoroughly, for example with a kitchen towel.
  12. 12. Peel the onion.
  13. 13. Slice the onion into thin rings.
  14. 14. Cut the lime in half.
  15. 15. Squeeze the juice out of the lime.
  16. 16. Peel the garlic.
  17. 17. Finely chop the garlic.
  18. 18. Wash the cilantro.
  19. 19. Dry the cilantro.
  20. 20. Pluck the cilantro leaves from the stems.
  21. 21. Roughly chop the cilantro leaves.
  22. 22. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise.
  23. 23. Remove the pits from the avocado halves.
  24. 24. Scoop the flesh of the avocados out of the skin with a spoon.
  25. 25. Put the avocado flesh into a bowl.
  26. 26. Mash the avocado with a fork.
  27. 27. Stir the chopped garlic into the avocado.
  28. 28. Stir the chopped cilantro into the avocado.
  29. 29. Add the lime juice.
  30. 30. Season the guacamole with salt and pepper.

  32. 32. Shape eight patties from the burger mixture using damp hands.
