🍰 Vegan Cinnamon Rolls with Plums

Ingredients
- water 250 ml
- dried yeast 1 packet
- sugar 80 g
- margarine, vegan 130 g
- cinnamon 2 tbsp
- plums 6 pcs
- wheat flour, Type 405 500 g
- salt pinch
- plum puree 5 tbsp
- powdered sugar 150 g
- sour cherry nectar 3 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the oven light.
- 2. In a bowl, whisk together lukewarm water, dry yeast, and 30 grams of sugar.
- 3. Let the yeast mixture rest for about 5 minutes.
- 4. In a second bowl, thoroughly mix 100 grams of soft margarine, 50 grams of sugar, and cinnamon.
- 5. Wash the plums and remove the pits.
- 6. Cut the plums into thin strips.
- 7. Add flour, 2 tablespoons of margarine, and a pinch of salt to the yeast mixture.
- 8. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- 9. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 5 millimeters.
- 10. Spread the cinnamon cream evenly over the dough.
- 11. Then spread the plum puree evenly over the dough.
- 12. Distribute the plum strips over the dough strip.
- 13. Roll the dough up tightly.
- 14. Cut the dough into 6 equal rolls.
- 15. Grease a baking dish.
- 16. Place the cinnamon rolls side by side in the dish.
- 17. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- 18. Place the dish in the oven.
- 19. Let the rolls rise for about 20 minutes.
- 20. Set the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat).
- 21. Remove the aluminum foil.
- 22. Bake the rolls for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
- 23. Carefully remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven.
- 24. Let the rolls cool down.
- 25. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar and sour cherry nectar.
- 26. Spread the glaze over the cinnamon rolls.
- 27. Serve the cinnamon rolls warm on plates.
