🍰 Vegan Plum Tarte Tatin with Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients
- Plums 600 g
- Organic Limes 1 pcs
- Sugar 100 g
- Margarine, vegan 50 g
- Puff pastry 1 pcs
- Wheat flour, Type 405 1 tbsp
- Vegan vanilla ice cream 300 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Wash the plums thoroughly.
- 3. Cut the plums in half and remove the pits.
- 4. Cut the lime in half.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the lime.
- 6. Heat sugar in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 7. Melt the sugar for about 2 minutes.
- 8. Add 45 grams of margarine as soon as the sugar has caramelized.
- 9. Add the lime juice.
- 10. Stir the mixture well.
- 11. Grease a tart pan with 1 teaspoon of margarine.
- 12. Pour the liquid caramel into the pan.
- 13. Spread the caramel evenly in the pan.
- 14. Place the plums in the pan with the rounded side facing down.
- 15. Unroll the puff pastry.
- 16. Dust a work surface with flour.
- 17. Roll the pastry into a loose circle on the floured surface.
- 18. Place the pastry over the plums.
- 19. Fold the pastry edges inward.
- 20. Tuck the pastry edges between the rim of the pan and the plums.
- 21. Prick the pastry several times with a fork.
- 22. Bake the tart in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- 23. Bake until the tart is golden brown.
- 24. Let the Tarte Tatin cool on a wire rack for about 5 minutes.
- 25. Invert the Tarte Tatin onto a plate.
- 26. Serve the Tarte Tatin warm.
- 27. Add Vemondo vanilla ice cream.
