  1. 1. Warm up 250 milliliters of Barista oat drink in a pot for about 1 minute until it is lukewarm.
  2. 2. Crumble the yeast into the pot and dissolve it with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  3. 3. Let the yeast mixture rise in the pot with a lid on for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Transfer the yeast mixture into a bowl.
  5. 5. Add 60 grams of sugar, 100 grams of margarine, a pinch of salt, apple puree, and 500 grams of flour.
  6. 6. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  7. 7. Let the dough rise in the bowl for 1 hour.
  8. 8. Drain the cherries in a sieve and let them drip dry.
  9. 9. Mix the almonds with 50 grams of margarine, 50 grams of sugar, and 50 grams of flour in a bowl.
  10. 10. Knead the mixture into crumbles.
  11. 11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (convection).
  12. 12. Knead the yeast dough once more briefly.
  13. 13. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  14. 14. Shape each ball into a long roll on a floured work surface.
  15. 15. Twist the rolls into snail shapes.
  16. 16. Place the snails on two baking sheets lined with baking paper.
  17. 17. Let the snails rise covered for 10 minutes.
  18. 18. Place 1 tablespoon of sour cherry jam in the center of each snail.
  19. 19. Distribute the drained cherries on top of the jam.
  20. 20. Generously sprinkle the prepared crumbles over the snails.
  21. 21. Bake the trays one after the other for about 20 minutes in the oven.
