🍽️ Vegan Sloppy Joe Burgers with Avocado

Ingredients
- onions, red 2 pcs
- garlic cloves 1 pcs
- pepper, green 1 pcs
- avocado 1 pcs
- rapeseed oil 1 tbsp
- soy mince 200 g
- tomato paste 1 tsp
- mustard 1 tsp
- pepper, sweet 2 tsp
- Smokehouse BBQ Rub 2 tsp
- chili flakes 1 tsp
- ketchup 2 tbsp
- soy sauce 1 tbsp
- tomatoes, chopped 400 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- hamburger buns 4 pcs
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and cut them in half.
- 2. Cut one of the onions into thin half-rings.
- 3. Dice the second onion very finely.
- 4. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 5. Dice the bell pepper into small pieces.
- 6. Peel the avocado and slice the flesh into strips.
- 7. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
- 8. Add the finely diced onion, garlic, bell pepper, and vegan mince to the pot.
- 9. Fry the mixture for about 3 minutes.
- 10. Stir in the tomato paste and mustard.
- 11. Fry the spices for 1 minute.
- 12. Add paprika powder, Smokehouse BBQ spice mix, chili flakes, ketchup, and soy sauce.
- 13. Top the mixture with chopped tomatoes.
- 14. Simmer the mince mixture with the lid on for about 15 minutes over medium heat.
- 15. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
- 16. Heat a frying pan over high heat.
- 17. Split the burger buns in half.
- 18. Place the bun halves cut-side down in the hot pan.
- 19. Toast the buns for about 1 minute.
- 20. Spread the warm mince mixture onto the bun halves.
- 21. Garnish the burgers with the avocado strips and onion rings.
