🍽️ Vegan Schnitzel with Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- brown mushrooms 500 g
- garlic cloves 2 pcs
- parsley, fresh 10 g
- oil 2 tbsp
- oat drink 600 ml
- vegan schnitzel, breaded 8 pcs
- cornstarch 2 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Clean the mushrooms if necessary with a kitchen towel and slice them thinly.
- 3. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 4. Wash the parsley, shake it dry and remove the thick stems.
- 5. Also chop the parsley finely.
- 6. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pot on high heat.
- 7. Fry the mushrooms in it for about five minutes until golden brown.
- 8. Add the garlic and oat drink to the sauce.
- 9. Let the sauce simmer on low to medium heat for about three minutes.
- 10. Place the vegan schnitzels on a baking sheet lined with baking paper in the meantime.
- 11. Bake the schnitzels in the oven for about ten minutes until golden brown.
- 12. Mix cornstarch with one to two tablespoons of water in a small bowl.
- 13. Stir the starch-water mixture into the boiling sauce while stirring.
- 14. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 15. Set the sauce aside covered until you are ready to serve the dish.
- 16. Plate the finished schnitzels.
- 17. Pour the mushroom sauce over the schnitzels.
- 18. Garnish the dish with the chopped parsley.
- 19. Serve the food and enjoy your meal.
