  1. 1. Mix flour, one tablespoon of cornstarch, semolina, and salt in a bowl.
  2. 2. Add soy yogurt, two tablespoons of oil, and the grated zest of an orange.
  3. 3. Stir everything together to form a slightly sticky dough.
  4. 4. Cover the dough with a cloth.
  5. 5. Let the dough rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Wash the plums under running water.
  7. 7. Cut the plums in half and remove the pits.
  8. 8. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  9. 9. Scrape out the vanilla seeds with the back of a knife.
  10. 10. Put almond milk, sugar, the vanilla seeds, and the empty pod into a pot.
  11. 11. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  12. 12. Let the sauce steep on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  13. 13. Mix two tablespoons of cornstarch with four tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl.
  14. 14. Remove the vanilla pod from the pot.
  15. 15. Bring the liquid back to a boil.
  16. 16. Stir in the cornstarch and water mixture.
  17. 17. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes until it becomes slightly creamy.
  18. 18. Bring about three liters of salted water to a boil in a large pot.
  19. 19. Shape the dough into a roll on a lightly floured surface.
  20. 20. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
  21. 21. Cut the roll into eight equal pieces.
  22. 22. Flatten each piece of dough slightly.
  23. 23. Place a plum half in the center.
  24. 24. Wrap the plum with the dough.
  25. 25. Shape the dumplings into balls.
  26. 26. Cook the dumplings in the simmering water for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  27. 27. Reduce the heat so that the water only lightly simmers.
  28. 28. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon.
  29. 29. Let the dumplings drain.
  30. 30. Heat margarine in a pan over medium heat.
  31. 31. Toast the breadcrumbs for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
  32. 32. Add the drained dumplings to the pan.
  33. 33. Fry the dumplings for another 2 minutes.
  34. 34. Serve the plum dumplings on plates.
  35. 35. Drizzle with vanilla sauce.
