  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan.
  2. 2. Mix margarine, sugar, flour, baking powder, walnuts, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. 3. Knead the ingredients into a uniform dough.
  4. 4. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 3 mm.
  6. 6. Cut out 5 cm circles from the dough.
  7. 7. Take half of the cookies and cut out the center with a small star-shaped cutter.
  8. 8. Place all cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  9. 9. Bake the cookies one after the other for about 10–12 minutes until they are crispy.
  10. 10. Spread jam on the still lukewarm cookies.
  11. 11. Place a star-shaped cookie on top of each jam-covered cookie.
  12. 12. Let the cookies cool completely.
  13. 13. Dust the finished Linzer cookies with powdered sugar.
  14. 14. Serve the cookies and enjoy.
