🍽️ Vegan Cheese Spätzle with Fried Onions and Chives

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Chives, fresh 10 g
- Vegan block - vegetable fat 3 tbsp
- Vemondo vegan Spätzle 500 g
- Vemondo Grating delight 200 g
- Pepper, white ground pinch
- Fried onions 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with about 4 liters of water and add salt.
- 2. Cover the pot and bring the water to a boil.
- 3. Thoroughly wash the chives under running water.
- 4. Shake the chives dry to remove excess water.
- 5. Cut the chives into very fine rings.
- 6. Set aside the finished chive rings until you are ready to serve the dish.
- 7. Add the spätzle to the boiling water.
- 8. Cook the spätzle for about 2 minutes until they are done.
- 9. Remove the spätzle as soon as they float to the surface of the water.
- 10. Use a slotted spoon to take the spätzle out of the pot.
- 11. Let the spätzle drain briefly in a sieve.
- 12. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 13. Add the drained spätzle to the hot pan.
- 14. Warm the spätzle by tossing them in the pan for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 15. Stir the vegan cheese sauce into the warm spätzle.
- 16. Cover the pan with a lid.
- 17. Let the cheese melt under the lid for about 2 minutes.
- 18. Thoroughly mix the spätzle and cheese together.
- 19. Season the spätzle to taste with salt and pepper.
- 20. Portion the vegan cheese spätzle onto the plates.
- 21. Sprinkle the prepared chive rings over the spätzle.
- 22. Add the fried onions as a topping to the spätzle.
- 23. Serve the dish immediately and enjoy your meal!
