🍽️ Vegan Currywurst with Cola-Orange Sauce and Curly Fries

Ingredients
- Oranges 2 pcs
- Lemons 1 pcs
- Ginger, fresh 15 g
- Cola 200 ml
- Orange soda 200 ml
- Curly Fries 750 g
- Ketchup 400 g
- Tabasco 1 tsp
- Salt pinch
- Curry powder pinch
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Vegan Bratwurst 4 pcs
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Wash the oranges thoroughly.
- 3. Finely grate about one tablespoon of orange zest.
- 4. Peel the oranges with a sharp knife.
- 5. Remove the white pith under the peel as well.
- 6. Cut out the orange fillets using V-shaped cuts.
- 7. Cut the lemon in half.
- 8. Squeeze the juice from one half of the lemon.
- 9. Peel the ginger.
- 10. Grate the ginger finely.
- 11. Pour cola and orange soda into a pot.
- 12. Boil the mixture on high heat.
- 13. Let the sauce reduce for about 15 minutes.
- 14. Place the curly fries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 15. Bake the curly fries for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- 16. Add ketchup to the reduced cola mixture.
- 17. Add the squeezed lemon juice.
- 18. Add the grated ginger to the sauce.
- 19. Add the grated orange zest.
- 20. Stir everything well.
- 21. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- 22. Season the sauce with Tabasco.
- 23. Season the sauce with salt.
- 24. Season the sauce with curry powder.
- 25. Heat oil in a frying pan on high heat.
- 26. Fry the vegan sausages in the pan.
- 27. Fry the sausages for about 5 minutes on all sides.
- 28. Place the vegan sausages on a plate.
- 29. Place the curly fries on the plate.
- 30. Add the curry sauce.
- 31. Garnish the dish with the orange fillets.
- 32. Sprinkle some curry powder over it.
- 33. Serve the dish.
