  1. 1. Take the spread out of the fridge to let it soften slightly.
  2. 2. Place the spread, sugar, salt, wheat flour, and baking powder into a bowl.
  3. 3. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough in cling film.
  5. 5. Place the dough in the fridge for at least one hour.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (top and bottom heat).
  7. 7. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
  8. 8. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of about 4 mm.
  9. 9. Cut out various shapes from the dough.
  10. 10. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  11. 11. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes.
  12. 12. Remove the cookies when the edges are golden brown.
  13. 13. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
  14. 14. Wash a lemon thoroughly.
  15. 15. Cut the lemon in half.
  16. 16. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  17. 17. Sift powdered sugar into a bowl.
  18. 18. Mix the powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to form a thick icing.
  19. 19. Fill the icing into a freezer bag.
  20. 20. Seal the freezer bag.
  21. 21. Cut off a small corner of the freezer bag.
  22. 22. Decorate the cooled cookies creatively with the icing.
  23. 23. Decorate the cookies with sugar pearls if desired.
  24. 24. Let the icing dry thoroughly.
  25. 25. Serve the cookies.
