  1. 1. Warm up 250 milliliters of soy drink in a pot until it is lukewarm.
  2. 2. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm soy drink.
  3. 3. Stir 1 tablespoon of raw cane sugar into the yeast mixture.
  4. 4. Let the mixture rise covered for approx. 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Mix 80 grams of raw cane sugar, 100 grams of margarine, 600 grams of flour, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  6. 6. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
  7. 7. Let the dough rise covered for approx. 1 hour.
  8. 8. Quarter the apples and remove the core and seeds.
  9. 9. Dice the apples finely.
  10. 10. Mix 80 grams of soft margarine with 50 grams of raw cane sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl.
  11. 11. Fold in the apple cubes into the cinnamon-margarine mixture.
  12. 12. Sprinkle some flour on a work surface.
  13. 13. Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle.
  14. 14. Spread the apple-cinnamon margarine over the dough.
  15. 15. Roll the dough up lengthwise.
  16. 16. Cut the dough roll into approx. 3 centimeter thick snails.
  17. 17. Grease a baking dish or casserole dish.
  18. 18. Place the snails in the dish with some space between them.
  19. 19. Let the snails rise again for approx. 30 minutes.
  20. 20. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan.
  21. 21. Bake the snails for approx. 25 to 30 minutes until golden yellow.
  22. 22. Halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice.
  23. 23. Mix 80 grams of powdered sugar with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice in a bowl.
  24. 24. Take the cinnamon snails out of the oven.
  25. 25. Brush the warm snails with the lemon glaze.

  27. 27. Tip: To cut the cinnamon snails, you can also use kitchen twine.
  28. 28. Place the twine under and over the dough roll and cross it.
  29. 29. Pull on the ends to cut the roll into pieces gradually.
