  1. 1. Place the quark in a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Squeeze the quark firmly until about 375 grams remain.
  3. 3. Separate the egg and save the egg white for another use.
  4. 4. Mix the drained quark in a bowl with pudding powder, 50 grams of sugar, and the egg yolk.
  5. 5. Let the dough rise covered for about 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Bring about 4 liters of water to a boil in a pot.
  7. 7. Shape the dough into 8 dumplings.
  8. 8. Let the dumplings cook gently (not boiling) for about 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. 9. Wash the strawberries and remove the leaves.
  10. 10. Slice 50 grams of the strawberries.
  11. 11. Puree the rest of the strawberries in a tall container with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  12. 12. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  13. 13. Stir the remaining sugar and vanilla sugar into the butter briefly.
