  1. 1. Take the butter out of the fridge and let it soften.
  2. 2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  3. 3. Put flour and 10 tablespoons of powdered sugar into a bowl.
  4. 4. Sift the dry ingredients through a sieve into the bowl.
  5. 5. Add the soft butter and the ground hazelnuts.
  6. 6. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
  7. 7. Shape small crescents from the dough.
  8. 8. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  9. 9. Place the crescents on the tray.
  10. 10. Bake the crescents in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  11. 11. Take them out when they are lightly golden brown.
  12. 12. Mix 2.5 tablespoons of sugar with vanilla sugar.
  13. 13. Roll the still warm crescents in the sugar mixture.
  14. 14. Let the crescents cool down completely.
