🍽️ Oven-Baked Cheese-Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
- bell pepper 4 pcs
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- salt pinch
- shallots 2 pcs
- balsamic vinegar, dark 2 tbsp
- sugar pinch
- feta 50 g
- gouda, grated 250 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly under running water.
- 3. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds and the white pith from the inside of the halves.
- 5. Brush the pepper halves with some oil.
- 6. Lightly salt the peppers.
- 7. Place the halves on a baking sheet with the cut side facing up.
- 8. Place the tray in the upper part of the oven.
- 9. Roast the peppers for about 5 minutes.
- 10. Remove the peppers when they are slightly soft.
- 11. Halve the shallots.
- 12. Peel the shallots and remove the outer skin.
- 13. Cut the shallots into thin strips.
- 14. Put the shallots into a bowl.
- 15. Pour vinegar over the shallots.
- 16. Add sugar to the shallots.
- 17. Mix everything thoroughly so the shallots can marinate.
- 18. Set the bowl aside.
- 19. Take the feta cheese out of the packaging.
- 20. Crumble the feta into small pieces using your hands.
- 21. Put the crumbled feta into a clean bowl.
- 22. Add Gouda cheese to the bowl.
- 23. Season the cheese mixture with some pepper.
- 24. Mix the feta, Gouda, and pepper well.
- 25. Take the peppers out of the oven.
- 26. Carefully turn over the pepper halves.
- 27. Fill the pepper halves with the cheese mixture.
- 28. Place the stuffed peppers back into the oven.
- 29. Bake the peppers for another 10 minutes.
- 30. Remove the peppers when the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- 31. Take the finished peppers out of the oven.
- 32. Place the peppers on a serving plate.
- 33. Drizzle the shallot dressing over the peppers.
- 34. Season to taste with additional pepper if desired.
- 35. Serve the dishes warm.
