🍽️ Tuna Steak with Mango Salsa

Ingredients
- Tuna steaks 500 g
- Mango 1 pc.
- Pepper, green 1 pc.
- Pepper, red 1 pc.
- Shallots 1 pc.
- Avocado 1 pc.
- Cilantro, fresh 25 g
- Organic limes 1 pc.
- Honey 1 tsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Jasmine rice 300 g
- Oil 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Let the tuna steak thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2. Peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the pit.
- 3. Cut the mango flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Clean the peppers, halve them, and remove the stem and seeds.
- 5. Cut the peppers into small cubes as well.
- 6. Halve the shallot, peel it, and chop it finely.
- 7. Halve the avocado and remove the pit.
- 8. Remove the flesh from the skin and cut it into cubes.
- 9. Wash the cilantro and dry it.
- 10. Remove the coarse stems from the cilantro.
- 11. Finely chop the cilantro leaves.
- 12. Wash the lime and halve it.
- 13. Squeeze the juice from the lime.
- 14. Place the mango, peppers, shallot, avocado, and cilantro into a bowl.
- 15. Mix the salsa ingredients well together.
- 16. Add the lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper.
- 17. Season the salsa to taste with the spices.
- 18. Place the rice and about 600 milliliters of salted water into a pot.
- 19. Bring the water with the rice to a boil.
- 20. Cook the rice over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- 21. Rinse the tuna steak under running water.
- 22. Dry the tuna with a kitchen towel.
- 23. Season the tuna steak with salt and pepper.
- 24. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat.
- 25. Fry the tuna steak for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 26. Plate the tuna steak.
- 27. Add the mango salsa.
- 28. Serve the rice as a side dish.
