Ingredients
- Apples, red 5 pcs.
- Brown sugar 2 tbsp.
- Vanilla extract 1 tsp.
- Cinnamon 1 tsp.
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp.
- butter 110 g
- Wheat flour, Type 405 100 g
- Oats, fine 60 g
- Almonds, ground 40 g
- Sea salt pinch
- Vanilla ice cream 320 g
- Icing sugar 2 tbsp.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius for top and bottom heat. If you use fan-assisted cooking, set it to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Peel the apples and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the apple flesh into cubes of about 1 centimeter.
- 4. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over heat.
- 5. Add the apple cubes, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon juice to the pan.
- 6. Sauté the mixture for 3 to 4 minutes until the apples are lightly caramelized.
- 7. Mix flour, oat flakes, sugar, salt, and nuts in a separate bowl.
- 8. Take 80 grams of cold butter and cut it into small cubes.
- 9. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture.
- 10. Quickly knead the ingredients together with your fingers to form coarse crumbs.
- 11. Transfer the cooked apple mixture into a shallow baking dish.
- 12. Loosely distribute the crumble topping over the apple mixture.
- 13. Bake the dessert in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
- 14. Serve the crumble warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dusting of powdered sugar.
