🍽️ Tex-Mex Chili Burger with Lime Mayo

Ingredients
- ground beef 500 g
- ground pork 100 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground 1 g
- organic limes 1 pc.
- parsley, fresh 20 g
- chili mix 1 pc.
- mayonnaise 100 g
- cherry tomatoes 125 g
- spring onions 2 pc.
- corn from the can 60 g
- ketchup 2 tbsp
- oil 2 tbsp
- bacon 4 slices
- hamburger buns 4 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Season the minced meat in a bowl generously with salt and pepper.
- 2. Form four equal-sized patties with your hands.
- 3. The patties should be about thumb-thick and weigh around 150 grams.
- 4. Set the patties aside to let them reach room temperature.
- 5. Rinse the lime under hot water.
- 6. Grate the lime zest finely.
- 7. Squeeze out the lime juice.
- 8. Wash the parsley and pat it dry.
- 9. Remove the coarse leaves and stems from the parsley.
- 10. Chop the parsley roughly.
- 11. Wash the chili peppers.
- 12. Remove the seeds from the chili peppers.
- 13. Finely chop the chili peppers.
- 14. Mix the chopped chili peppers and parsley in a bowl.
- 15. Add mayonnaise, lime zest, and 2 teaspoons of lime juice to the mixture.
- 16. Season the lime mayo with salt and pepper to taste.
- 17. Wash the tomatoes.
- 18. Dice the tomatoes into small pieces.
- 19. Wash the spring onions.
- 20. Remove the root ends of the spring onions.
- 21. Chop the spring onions.
- 22. Place the diced tomatoes and chopped spring onions in a separate bowl.
- 23. Mix the vegetables with corn and ketchup.
- 24. Season the tomato-corn mix to your liking.
- 25. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan on the highest setting.
- 26. Fry the patties for about 3 minutes on each side over high heat.
- 27. Add the bacon to the pan during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- 28. Slice the burger buns in half.
- 29. Toast the buns briefly in a toaster.
- 30. Spread the lime mayo on both halves of the buns.
- 31. Place the fried patties and bacon on the bottom halves of the buns.
- 32. Spread the tomato-corn mix over the meat.
- 33. Place the top halves of the buns on the burgers.
