🍽️ Chicken with Spinach Cream Sauce on Tagliatelle

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Chicken breast fillets 600 g
- Onions, red 1 pc.
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Whipping cream 150 ml
- Tagliatelle, fresh 500 g
- Olive oil 1 tbsp
- Leaf spinach 300 g
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with about 4 liters of water and add salt. Heat the water until it boils vigorously.
- 2. Rinse the chicken meat under running water and pat it dry with a kitchen towel. Remove any visible tendons if necessary.
- 3. Cut the chicken meat into bite-sized cubes of about 3 to 4 centimeters.
- 4. Halve an onion, remove the skin, and cut it into thin strips.
- 5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
- 6. Fry the chicken meat in the hot pan for about 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 7. Remove the fried chicken from the pan and place it on a plate.
- 8. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the same pan (without cleaning it).
- 9. Sauté the onion strips over medium heat for about 3 minutes until soft.
- 10. Deglaze the onions with cream and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 11. Let the sauce simmer over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until it becomes creamy.
- 12. Add the tagliatelle pasta to the pot with the boiling salted water.
- 13. Cook the pasta for about 4 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 14. Drain the pasta in a colander.
- 15. Do not rinse the pasta, but mix them immediately with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- 16. Set the seasoned pasta aside.
- 17. Wash the spinach thoroughly under running water.
- 18. Dry the spinach in a salad spinner or with a kitchen towel.
- 19. Add the dry spinach to the cream-onion mixture in the pan.
- 20. Stir the spinach and let it wilt for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 21. Return the fried chicken meat to the pan.
- 22. Warm the chicken in the sauce for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 23. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 24. Add the tagliatelle pasta to the pan with the sauce and chicken.
- 25. Mix everything well so that the pasta is coated with the sauce.
- 26. Taste the dish again and adjust with salt and pepper if necessary.
- 27. Serve the tagliatelle with chicken and spinach cream sauce in deep plates.
- 28. Serve the dish hot and enjoy your meal!
