🍳 Crispy Croissants with Sweet Potato and Walnuts

Ingredients
- Croissant dough 1 pc.
- Sweet potatoes 1 pc.
- Walnut kernels 50 g
- Sour cream 200 g
- Honey 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Unroll the croissant dough and carefully separate the pre-cut triangles from each other.
- 3. Wash the sweet potato thoroughly and then peel it.
- 4. Grate the peeled sweet potato coarsely.
- 5. Chop the walnuts coarsely into small pieces.
- 6. Stir the sour cream (Schmand) and honey together in a bowl until you have a smooth mixture.
- 7. Fold the grated sweet potatoes and chopped walnuts into the sour cream and honey mixture.
- 8. Spread the sweet potato and walnut filling evenly over the dough triangles.
- 9. Roll the coated triangles tightly into croissants.
- 10. Place the croissants on a baking sheet and put them in the preheated oven.
- 11. Bake the croissants for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 12. Take the croissants out of the oven and let them cool down briefly.
- 13. Sprinkle some powdered sugar over the warm or cold croissants if desired.
- 14. Serve the sweet potato and walnut croissants lukewarm or cold.
