  1. 1. Heat the milk in a pot for about 1 minute until it is lukewarm. Crumble the yeast into a small bowl and dissolve it together with 1 tbsp sugar in the tempered milk. Cover the bowl and let the mixture rest for approx. 15 minutes.
  2. 2. In the meantime, mix the remaining sugar, flour, salt, and the butter cut into pieces in a bowl. Add the yeast milk and the eggs and knead everything into a smooth dough.
  3. 3. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it has approximately doubled in size.
  4. 4. Knead the dough briefly again and continue processing it according to the recipe. This recipe yields enough dough for 1 baking sheet or a Bundt cake pan (diameter 22 cm). Enjoy your meal!
