🍰 Crunchy Streusel Apples with Marzipan-Cranberry Filling and Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients
- Apples, red 4 pcs
- Organic Lemons 1 pcs
- Marzipan base 75 g
- Cranberries, dried 25 g
- Cinnamon Pinch
- Wheat flour, Type 405 150 g
- Butter 75 g
- Sugar 50 g
- Vanilla ice cream 8 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 3. Cut off the top of the apples about half a centimeter.
- 4. Carefully remove the core.
- 5. Hollow out the apples, ensuring a rim of about one centimeter remains.
- 6. Cut the removed lid and fruit flesh into small pieces.
- 7. Wash the lemon and squeeze the juice from the halved fruit.
- 8. Grate the marzipan finely.
- 9. Put the apple pieces, grated marzipan, cranberries, cinnamon, and one tablespoon of lemon juice into a bowl.
- 10. Mix these ingredients well together.
- 11. Take a second bowl for the streusel topping.
- 12. Knead flour, butter, sugar, and cinnamon in this bowl into a crumbly dough.
- 13. Grease a baking dish lightly with butter.
- 14. Place the hollowed apples into the dish.
- 15. Fill the apples with the marzipan-cranberry mixture.
- 16. Distribute the streusel dough evenly over the filled apples.
- 17. Bake the apples in the oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- 18. Check the color of the streusel after 25 to 30 minutes.
- 19. If the streusel becomes too dark, cover the apples briefly with aluminum foil.
- 20. Take the finished baked apples out of the oven.
- 21. Serve each apple with two scoops of vanilla ice cream.
