  1. 1. Heat the milk in a pot for about 1 minute until it is lukewarm.
  2. 2. Crumble the yeast into the warm milk and stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until the yeast dissolves.
  3. 3. Cover the pot and let the yeast milk rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Roughly chop the pecans and almonds.
  5. 5. In a bowl, mix the yeast milk with the remaining sugar, 100 g of butter, salt, one egg, and the flour to form a smooth dough.
  6. 6. Knead the pecans, almonds, and raisins into the dough.
  7. 7. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  8. 8. Grease a baking sheet and line it with baking paper.
  9. 9. Work the dough on a floured surface into a thick rectangle that fits the size of the baking sheet.
  10. 10. Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet.
  11. 11. Cover the dough and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.
  13. 13. Bake the stollen for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  14. 14. Spread 100 g of butter evenly over the hot stollen.
  15. 15. Let the butter melt and sprinkle the stollen with powdered sugar.
  16. 16. Let the stollen cool down.
  17. 17. Cut the cooled stollen into diamonds.
  18. 18. Serve the stollen diamonds lukewarm.
