  4. 4. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  5. 5. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  6. 6. Wait until the dough volume has doubled.
  7. 7. Meanwhile, remove the bark from the sticks.
  8. 8. Knead the dough one more time briefly.
  9. 9. Divide the dough on a floured surface into 8 equal portions.
  10. 10. Shape each portion into a strand about 50 cm long.
  11. 11. Press the strands slightly flat.
  12. 12. Wrap each strand tightly around a stick.
  13. 13. Hold the breads over the embers of a grill or campfire.
  14. 14. Bake the breads for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  15. 15. Turn the breads regularly while doing so.
  16. 16. Keep a safe distance from the embers so the breads do not burn.
  17. 17. Let the breads cool down briefly.
  18. 18. Carefully remove the bread from the stick before serving.
