  1. 1. In a pot, bring the rice to a boil with about 700 ml of salted water and cook with the lid on for around 12 minutes until tender.
  2. 2. Rinse the rump steaks thoroughly, pat dry with a kitchen towel, and cut into strips of about 1 cm. Peel the ginger and cut into thin strips. Wash the spring onions, dry them well, remove the roots, and cut into pieces of about 4 cm.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a wok or large pan over high heat and sear the meat strips together with the ginger for approx. 3 minutes. Then add the spring onions and cook for another 3 minutes. Deglaze with soy sauce and let it reduce briefly.
  4. 4. Plate the rice, top with the beef pan, and serve. Enjoy your meal! Tip: Make sure the pan is well heated before searing the meat. Cook the meat in several batches so the pan doesn't cool down too much due to the volume.
