  1. 1. Halve the cabbage head and remove the hard core in the center.
  2. 2. Cut the cabbage flesh into pieces about 4 to 5 centimeters in size.
  3. 3. Wash the cabbage pieces thoroughly and dry them in a salad spinner.
  4. 4. Halve the onion, peel it, and cut it into thin strips.
  5. 5. Cut the sausages into small cubes of about 0.5 centimeters in size.
  6. 6. Roughly chop the walnuts.
  7. 7. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  8. 8. Toast the walnuts in it for 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
  9. 9. Remove the walnuts from the pan and set them aside in a bowl.
  10. 10. Wipe the pan briefly and add another 1 tablespoon of oil.
  11. 11. Heat the oil over medium to high heat.
  12. 12. Fry the sausage cubes for about 3 minutes until crispy.
  13. 13. Reduce the heat to medium and add the onion strips.
  14. 14. Fry the onions for about 2 minutes along with the sausage.
  15. 15. Add the sausage-onion mixture to the walnuts in the bowl.
  16. 16. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan and heat it over medium heat.
  17. 17. Add half of the cabbage to the pan and season it with a little salt.
  18. 18. Fry the cabbage for 3 to 4 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally.
  19. 19. Add the remaining cabbage and season it with salt again.
  20. 20. Fry the cabbage for another 4 to 5 minutes until it still has some crunch.
  21. 21. Shake the pan occasionally while frying the cabbage.
  22. 22. Peel the garlic and grate it finely or press it.
  23. 23. In a bowl, mix the garlic, mustard, paprika powder, cumin, 1 tablespoon of water, and vinegar.
  24. 24. Stir 3 tablespoons of oil into the spice mixture.
  25. 25. Season the dressing with salt, pepper, and sugar to taste.
  26. 26. Wash the dill and chives and shake them dry.
  27. 27. Cut the chives into thin rings.
  28. 28. Remove the coarse stems from the dill and chop the leaves finely.
  29. 29. Mix the fried cabbage with the sausage-onion-nut mixture.
  30. 30. Add the prepared dressing and mix everything well.
  31. 31. If necessary, add a little more oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  32. 32. Serve the dish on plates.
  33. 33. Sprinkle it with the chopped herbs and serve hot.
