Ingredients
- butter 150 g
- powdered sugar 150 g
- salt pinch
- eggs 1 pc.
- wheat flour, Type 405 275 g
- apricot jam 150 g
Instructions
- 1. Take the butter out of the refrigerator.
- 2. Cut the butter into small cubes.
- 3. Place the butter cubes in a bowl.
- 4. Add 130 grams of powdered sugar.
- 5. Add a pinch of salt.
- 6. Add one egg to the bowl.
- 7. Add the flour.
- 8. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 9. If the dough is too dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water.
- 10. Wrap the dough in cling film.
- 11. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 13. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 14. Roll out the dough on the floured surface.
- 15. Make sure the dough is about 3 millimeters thick.
- 16. Cut out round circles with a diameter of about 5 centimeters.
- 17. Take half of the round cookies.
- 18. Cut out a small star in the center of these cookies.
- 19. Line the baking trays with baking paper.
- 20. Place the cookies on the trays with some space between them.
- 21. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven.
- 22. Bake them at 180 degrees for about 12 minutes.
- 23. Remove the cookies when they are golden yellow and crunchy.
- 24. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
- 25. Put the jam in a saucepan.
- 26. Warm the jam while stirring.
- 27. Stir the jam until smooth.
- 28. Brush the whole cookies with the warm jam.
- 29. Place a cookie with a star cutout on top.
- 30. Let the cookies dry.
- 31. Dust 20 grams of powdered sugar over the cookies.
- 32. Store the cookies in an airtight container.
