  3. 3. Place the butter cubes in a bowl.
  4. 4. Add 130 grams of powdered sugar.
  5. 5. Add a pinch of salt.
  6. 6. Add one egg to the bowl.
  7. 7. Add the flour.
  8. 8. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  9. 9. If the dough is too dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water.
  10. 10. Wrap the dough in cling film.
  11. 11. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  13. 13. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
  14. 14. Roll out the dough on the floured surface.
  15. 15. Make sure the dough is about 3 millimeters thick.
  16. 16. Cut out round circles with a diameter of about 5 centimeters.
  17. 17. Take half of the round cookies.
  18. 18. Cut out a small star in the center of these cookies.
  19. 19. Line the baking trays with baking paper.
  20. 20. Place the cookies on the trays with some space between them.
  21. 21. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven.
  22. 22. Bake them at 180 degrees for about 12 minutes.
  23. 23. Remove the cookies when they are golden yellow and crunchy.
