Ingredients
- butter 150 g
- powdered sugar 120 g
- salt pinch
- eggs 1 pc.
- wheat flour, Type 405 275 g
- apricot jam 150 g
Instructions
- 1. Take the butter out of the refrigerator.
- 2. Cut the butter into small cubes.
- 3. Let the butter cubes soften slightly at room temperature.
- 4. Place the butter in a bowl.
- 5. Add 110 grams of powdered sugar.
- 6. Add a pinch of salt.
- 7. Crack an egg into the bowl.
- 8. Add the flour to the bowl.
- 9. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 10. If the dough is too dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water.
- 11. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap.
- 12. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 14. Sprinkle some flour on a work surface.
- 15. Roll out the dough on the floured surface.
- 16. Ensure the dough is about 3 millimeters thick.
- 17. Cut out round cookies with a diameter of about 5 centimeters.
- 18. Take half of the round cookies.
- 19. Cut out small stars with a diameter of about 2 centimeters from the center of these cookies.
- 20. Place the cookies with some space between them on a baking sheet.
- 21. Line the baking sheet with baking paper.
- 22. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 12 minutes.
- 23. Bake them until golden brown and crunchy.
- 24. Take the cookies out of the oven.
- 25. Let them cool on a wire rack.
- 26. Put the jam in a pot.
- 27. Warm the jam over low heat.
- 28. Stir the jam well.
- 29. Spread the warm jam over the whole cookies.
- 30. Place a cut-out star on top of each jam-covered cookie.
- 31. Let the cookies dry.
- 32. Dust the finished cookies with 10 grams of powdered sugar.
- 33. Store the cookies in an airtight container.
