🍽️ Juicy Beef Steaks in Spicy Pepper Cream Sauce with Mushrooms and Homemade Spätzle

Ingredients
- yellow onions 1 pc
- brown mushrooms 400 g
- fresh chives 10 g
- pork minute steaks 600 g
- salt pinch
- black ground pepper pinch
- rose paprika 0.5 tsp
- oil 3 tbsp
- wheat flour, type 405 1 tbsp
- whipping cream 200 g
- fresh spätzle 800 g
- butter 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onions in half and remove the outer skin.
- 2. Dice the onions into very small pieces.
- 3. Clean the mushrooms with a kitchen towel if necessary.
- 4. Slice the mushrooms into thin pieces.
- 5. Wash the chives and let them drain well.
- 6. Cut the chives into fine rings.
- 7. Rinse the steaks under running water.
- 8. Pat the steaks dry with a kitchen towel.
- 9. Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
- 10. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
- 11. Sear the steaks on all sides for about three minutes.
- 12. Wrap the seared steaks in aluminum foil.
- 13. Set the wrapped steaks aside to rest.
- 14. Add one tablespoon of oil to the same pan and heat it over medium heat.
- 15. Add the mushrooms and onion cubes to the pan.
- 16. Fry the vegetables together with the pan drippings for about two minutes.
- 17. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
- 18. Lightly dust the vegetables with flour.
- 19. Deglaze the mixture with cream.
- 20. Let the sauce simmer for about two minutes.
- 21. Place the steaks into the mushroom cream sauce.
- 22. Keep the steaks warm in the sauce over low heat.
- 23. Bring about four liters of salted water to a boil in a large pot.
- 24. Add the spätzle to the boiling salted water.
- 25. Warm the spätzle for about five minutes.
- 26. Remove the spätzle from the water as soon as they rise to the surface.
- 27. Drain the spätzle in a colander.
- 28. Mix the drained spätzle in the pot with butter.
- 29. Finally, adjust the seasoning of the mushroom cream sauce with salt and pepper.
- 30. Plate the spätzle on the plates.
- 31. Place the steaks with the mushroom cream sauce next to the spätzle.
- 32. Garnish the dish with the fine chive rings.
- 33. Serve the food immediately and enjoy your meal.
