Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Beef rump steaks 600 g
- Peppers, red 2 pcs.
- Onions, red 1 pc.
- Green beans 500 g
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Peppers, sweet paprika pinch
- Oil 3 tbsp.
- Baguette 1 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with about 2 liters of water and add salt. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
- 2. Rinse the steaks under running water. Then pat them completely dry with kitchen paper. Set the dry steaks aside.
- 3. Wash the peppers thoroughly. Cut them in half and remove the core. Slice the pepper halves into thin strips.
- 4. Cut the onion in half. Peel the onion halves and slice them into thin strips as well.
- 5. Rinse the beans. Cut off the hard ends on the beans.
- 6. Add the prepared beans to the boiling salted water. Cook them for about 8 minutes until they are al dente (still have a bite).
- 7. Drain the beans. Rinse them immediately under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set them aside.
- 8. Season the steaks generously with salt, pepper, and paprika powder on both sides.
- 9. Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
- 10. Place the seasoned steaks in the hot pan. Fry them for about 2 minutes on each side.
- 11. Remove the steaks from the pan. Wrap them tightly in aluminum foil.
- 12. Let the wrapped steaks rest for about 5 minutes. This ensures juicy meat.
- 13. Place the pan back on the stove and preheat it to medium heat.
- 14. Add the pepper strips, onion slices, and cooled beans to the pan. Fry the vegetables together with the pan drippings (residue from the meat) for about 4 minutes.
- 15. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.
- 16. Deglaze the vegetables with about 100 milliliters of water. Let it boil briefly.
- 17. Remove the steaks from the aluminum foil. Cut them into bite-sized strips.
- 18. Place the meat strips and the vegetables on the plates.
- 19. Serve the dish with fresh baguette. Alternatively, mashed potatoes go perfectly with it.
