Instructions

  1. 1. Fill a large pot with about 2 liters of water and add salt. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2. Rinse the steaks under running water. Then pat them completely dry with kitchen paper. Set the dry steaks aside.
  3. 3. Wash the peppers thoroughly. Cut them in half and remove the core. Slice the pepper halves into thin strips.
  4. 4. Cut the onion in half. Peel the onion halves and slice them into thin strips as well.
  5. 5. Rinse the beans. Cut off the hard ends on the beans.
  6. 6. Add the prepared beans to the boiling salted water. Cook them for about 8 minutes until they are al dente (still have a bite).
  7. 7. Drain the beans. Rinse them immediately under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set them aside.
  8. 8. Season the steaks generously with salt, pepper, and paprika powder on both sides.
  9. 9. Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
  10. 10. Place the seasoned steaks in the hot pan. Fry them for about 2 minutes on each side.
  11. 11. Remove the steaks from the pan. Wrap them tightly in aluminum foil.
  12. 12. Let the wrapped steaks rest for about 5 minutes. This ensures juicy meat.
  13. 13. Place the pan back on the stove and preheat it to medium heat.
  14. 14. Add the pepper strips, onion slices, and cooled beans to the pan. Fry the vegetables together with the pan drippings (residue from the meat) for about 4 minutes.
  15. 15. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.
  16. 16. Deglaze the vegetables with about 100 milliliters of water. Let it boil briefly.
  17. 17. Remove the steaks from the aluminum foil. Cut them into bite-sized strips.
  18. 18. Place the meat strips and the vegetables on the plates.
  19. 19. Serve the dish with fresh baguette. Alternatively, mashed potatoes go perfectly with it.
