🍽️ Steak on Marinated Tomatoes

Ingredients
- Beef rump steaks 600 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Vine tomatoes 100 g
- Shallots 1 pc.
- Thyme, fresh 10 g
- Olive oil 6 tbsp
- Honey 1 tsp
- Balsamic vinegar, light 2 tbsp
- Mustard 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the steak, pat dry with a kitchen towel, and season with salt and pepper. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and slice them into paper-thin slices. Halve the shallots, peel them, and dice finely. Wash the thyme, pat dry, and pick the leaves off the stems.
- 2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, mustard, shallots, and thyme well. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange the tomato slices evenly on a plate and pour the dressing over them.
- 3. Heat the butter in a pan over high heat and sear the steak for about 3 minutes per side. Then remove the pan from the heat and let the steak rest covered for approx. 5 minutes.
- 4. Slice the steak into thin strips, arrange it on the marinated tomatoes, and drizzle with the pan juices. Enjoy your meal! Tip: This goes well with [recipeLink=144646].
