  1. 1. Put the speculaas cookies, dates, and soft margarine into a tall container.
  2. 2. Blend the ingredients with a hand blender for about 2 minutes until a homogeneous mass forms.
  3. 3. Take portions of the dough with a tablespoon and roll them into small balls.
  4. 4. Bring about 500 milliliters of water to a boil in a pot.
  5. 5. Chop the chocolate roughly and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  6. 6. Place the bowl over the hot water (not directly in the water) and stir until the chocolate is melted.
  7. 7. Dip the speculaas balls into the melted chocolate so they are completely coated.
  8. 8. Let the excess chocolate drip off the balls.
  9. 9. Place the coated balls on a tray lined with baking paper.
  10. 10. Store the pralines in a cool and dry place or serve them immediately.
