🥗 Crispy Fried Potatoes with Fresh Salad and Cream Cheese Dip

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Potatoes, mostly waxy 1 kg
- Onions, yellow 2 pcs
- Oil 7 tbsp
- Honey 1 tsp
- Balsamic vinegar, light 3 tbsp
- Water 2 tbsp
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Cabbage lettuce 2 pcs
- Cream cheese, plain 200 g
- Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with about 3 liters of water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring the water to a boil.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the potatoes under running water. Then peel them completely.
- 3. Cut the peeled potatoes into cubes of about 1 cm.
- 4. Add the potato cubes to the boiling salted water and cook them for 8 to 10 minutes until tender.
- 5. Drain the potatoes in a colander. Rinse them briefly with cold water to stop the cooking process, and let them drain well.
- 6. Halve the onions and peel them. Cut them into thin strips.
- 7. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- 8. Add the drained potato cubes to the hot pan. Fry them for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- 9. After about 8 minutes, add the onion strips to the pan.
- 10. Fry the onions for another 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 11. Take a large bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 4 tablespoons of oil, and 2 to 3 tablespoons of water.
- 12. Mix the ingredients for the dressing well together.
- 13. Season the dressing to taste with salt and pepper.
- 14. Remove the hard cores from the lettuce heads.
- 15. Tear the lettuce leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- 16. Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly and let them drain well.
- 17. Add the drained salad to the bowl with the dressing.
- 18. Toss the salad gently so that it is evenly coated with the dressing.
- 19. Take another bowl. Add cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
- 20. Stir the ingredients for the dip until smooth and creamy.
- 21. Take large plates. Arrange the tossed salad on them.
- 22. Place the warm fried potatoes and onions on top of the salad.
- 23. Serve the cream cheese dip alongside or place it on the plates.
