  1. 1. Fill a large pot with about 3 liters of water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2. Thoroughly wash the potatoes under running water. Then peel them completely.
  3. 3. Cut the peeled potatoes into cubes of about 1 cm.
  4. 4. Add the potato cubes to the boiling salted water and cook them for 8 to 10 minutes until tender.
  5. 5. Drain the potatoes in a colander. Rinse them briefly with cold water to stop the cooking process, and let them drain well.
  6. 6. Halve the onions and peel them. Cut them into thin strips.
  7. 7. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  8. 8. Add the drained potato cubes to the hot pan. Fry them for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. 9. After about 8 minutes, add the onion strips to the pan.
  10. 10. Fry the onions for another 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  11. 11. Take a large bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 4 tablespoons of oil, and 2 to 3 tablespoons of water.
  12. 12. Mix the ingredients for the dressing well together.
  13. 13. Season the dressing to taste with salt and pepper.
  14. 14. Remove the hard cores from the lettuce heads.
  15. 15. Tear the lettuce leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  16. 16. Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly and let them drain well.
  17. 17. Add the drained salad to the bowl with the dressing.
  18. 18. Toss the salad gently so that it is evenly coated with the dressing.
  19. 19. Take another bowl. Add cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
  20. 20. Stir the ingredients for the dip until smooth and creamy.
  21. 21. Take large plates. Arrange the tossed salad on them.
  22. 22. Place the warm fried potatoes and onions on top of the salad.
  23. 23. Serve the cream cheese dip alongside or place it on the plates.
