🍳 Smashed Croissants with Mortadella

Ingredients
- arugula 25 g
- mozzarella 1 pc.
- pistachios 1 tbsp
- croissant 4 pcs.
- butter 2 tbsp
- honey 1 tbsp
- salt pinch
- mortadella sliced meat 200 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- olive oil 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the arugula thoroughly and pat it dry.
- 2. Remove the mozzarella from the package, drain the liquid, and tear it into rough pieces.
- 3. Roughly chop the pistachios.
- 4. Heat two tablespoons of butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 5. Place the croissants in the pan and fry them for about two minutes until golden brown.
- 6. Turn the croissants over.
- 7. Drizzle them with honey.
- 8. Place a sheet of baking paper directly on top of the croissants.
- 9. Place a heavy pot on the baking paper to press the croissants flat.
- 10. Fry the flattened croissants for another one to two minutes.
- 11. Remove the croissants from the pan, season them lightly with salt, and place them on a plate.
- 12. Distribute the mozzarella pieces, mortadella slices, and arugula as desired onto the croissants.
- 13. Season the topped croissants with salt and pepper.
- 14. Drizzle a little olive oil over them.
- 15. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios over the croissants.
- 16. Serve the dishes immediately and enjoy your meal.
