🥗 Crispy Sesame Chicken with Fresh Papaya Cucumber Salad

Ingredients
- sesame, white 3 tbsp
- oil 2 tbsp
- chicken breast fillets 600 g
- salt pinch
- glass noodles 300 g
- salad cucumbers 1 pc.
- papaya 1 pc.
- ginger, fresh 5 g
- soy sauce 3 tbsp
- pepper, black ground pinch
- vinegar 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Bring about 1 liter of water to a boil in a pot.
- 2. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
- 3. Remove the toasted sesame seeds from the pan and place them on a plate.
- 4. Increase the heat in the pan to high.
- 5. Rinse the chicken fillets under running water.
- 6. Pat the fillets completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 7. Season the fillets with salt.
- 8. Fry the chicken fillets in hot oil for about 2 minutes on both sides.
- 9. Reduce the heat and continue to fry the chicken for approx. 15 minutes.
- 10. Turn the chicken occasionally during the cooking time.
- 11. Pour the hot water from the pot over the glass noodles.
- 12. Salt the glass noodles in the water.
- 13. Let the glass noodles swell in the water.
- 14. Rinse the cucumber under running water.
- 15. Halve the cucumber lengthwise.
- 16. Scrape out the seeds of the cucumber with a spoon.
- 17. Slice the cucumber thinly on a diagonal.
- 18. Cut off the ends of the papaya by approx. 1 cm each.
- 19. Place the papaya upright.
- 20. Peel the skin off the papaya.
- 21. Halve the peeled papaya.
- 22. Remove the seeds from the papaya.
- 23. Cut the papaya into cubes.
- 24. Drain the swollen glass noodles.
- 25. Peel the ginger.
- 26. Finely chop the ginger.
- 27. Mix the chopped ginger with the papaya cucumber salad.
- 28. Mix the glass noodles into the salad.
- 29. Add soy sauce to the salad.
- 30. Season the salad with salt, pepper, and vinegar.
- 31. Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- 32. Season the finished chicken with pepper.
- 33. Roll the chicken in the toasted sesame seeds.
- 34. Slice the chicken.
- 35. Plate the sesame chicken.
- 36. Serve the chicken together with the papaya cucumber salad and the glass noodles.
