  1. 1. Ideally, let the salmon thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. 2. Peel the garlic and ginger and chop both ingredients finely.
  3. 3. Mix soy sauce, the chopped garlic, the ginger, and the honey in a bowl to create a marinade.
  4. 4. Rinse the salmon and pat it completely dry with kitchen paper.
  5. 5. Place the salmon in the marinade until it is fully covered.
  6. 6. Wash the pak choi thoroughly and remove the hard base.
  7. 7. Cut the pak choi into thin strips.
  8. 8. Wash the carrots, peel them, and cut them into strips as well.
  9. 9. Wash the spring onions and cut off the root ends.
  10. 10. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
  11. 11. Place the rice in a pot and cover it with about 700 ml of salted water.
  12. 12. Bring the water to a boil.
  13. 13. Reduce the heat to medium and let the rice cook covered for about 10 minutes.
  14. 14. Remove the salmon from the marinade, but keep the marinade for later.
  15. 15. Spread the sesame seeds evenly on a plate.
  16. 16. Roll the salmon in the sesame seeds so that it is covered all around.
  17. 17. Heat oil in a pan or wok over high heat.
  18. 18. Fry the salmon for about 4 minutes on each side.
  19. 19. Remove the salmon from the pan and set it aside.
  20. 20. Reheat the pan over medium heat.
  21. 21. Stir-fry the pak choi and carrots in the remaining fat for about 4 minutes.
  22. 22. Add the spring onions to the vegetables.
  23. 23. Deglaze the vegetables with the remaining marinade.
  24. 24. Place the salmon on top of the vegetables.
  25. 25. Let everything cook through covered for about 3 minutes.
  26. 26. Serve the sesame salmon together with the stir-fried vegetables and rice on plates.
