🍽️ Crispy Sesame Salmon with Stir-Fried Vegetables and Rice

Ingredients
- Salmon fillet, frozen 600 g
- Garlic cloves 1 pc.
- Ginger, fresh 10 g
- Soy sauce 5 tbsp
- Honey 2 tsp
- Pak Choi 4 pcs.
- Carrots 4 pcs.
- Spring onions 1 bunch
- Jasmine rice 300 g
- Salt pinch
- Sesame, white 4 tbsp
- Oil 3 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Ideally, let the salmon thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2. Peel the garlic and ginger and chop both ingredients finely.
- 3. Mix soy sauce, the chopped garlic, the ginger, and the honey in a bowl to create a marinade.
- 4. Rinse the salmon and pat it completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 5. Place the salmon in the marinade until it is fully covered.
- 6. Wash the pak choi thoroughly and remove the hard base.
- 7. Cut the pak choi into thin strips.
- 8. Wash the carrots, peel them, and cut them into strips as well.
- 9. Wash the spring onions and cut off the root ends.
- 10. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
- 11. Place the rice in a pot and cover it with about 700 ml of salted water.
- 12. Bring the water to a boil.
- 13. Reduce the heat to medium and let the rice cook covered for about 10 minutes.
- 14. Remove the salmon from the marinade, but keep the marinade for later.
- 15. Spread the sesame seeds evenly on a plate.
- 16. Roll the salmon in the sesame seeds so that it is covered all around.
- 17. Heat oil in a pan or wok over high heat.
- 18. Fry the salmon for about 4 minutes on each side.
- 19. Remove the salmon from the pan and set it aside.
- 20. Reheat the pan over medium heat.
- 21. Stir-fry the pak choi and carrots in the remaining fat for about 4 minutes.
- 22. Add the spring onions to the vegetables.
- 23. Deglaze the vegetables with the remaining marinade.
- 24. Place the salmon on top of the vegetables.
- 25. Let everything cook through covered for about 3 minutes.
- 26. Serve the sesame salmon together with the stir-fried vegetables and rice on plates.
