🍽️ Crispy Fish Sticks with Cucumber-Dill Salad from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- Cucumbers 2 pcs
- Salt pinch
- Dill, fresh 30 g
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Balsamic vinegar, light 5 tbsp
- Rapeseed oil 5 tbsp
- Cod back fillet 500 g
- Wheat flour, Type 405 3 tbsp
- Breadcrumbs 100 g
- Eggs 1 pc
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the cucumbers as you like.
- 3. Slice the cucumbers into thin rounds or use a peeler.
- 4. Place the cucumber slices in a bowl.
- 5. Sprinkle about one and a half teaspoons of salt over the cucumbers.
- 6. Mix the cucumbers well with the salt.
- 7. Wash the dill thoroughly.
- 8. Shake the dill dry.
- 9. Remove the thick stems from the dill.
- 10. Finely chop the delicate dill tips.
- 11. Take a separate bowl.
- 12. Add the sugar to the bowl.
- 13. Add the vinegar to the bowl.
- 14. Add four tablespoons of oil to the bowl.
- 15. Stir the liquid and sugar well.
- 16. Add the marinated cucumber slices to the sauce.
- 17. Add the chopped dill to the bowl.
- 18. Gently fold the cucumbers and dill into the mixture.
- 19. Wash the cod.
- 20. Pat the cod dry with kitchen paper.
- 21. Cut the cod into eight long strips.
- 22. Take a deep plate.
- 23. Spread the flour on the first plate.
- 24. Take a second deep plate.
- 25. Spread the breadcrumbs on the second plate.
- 26. Take a third plate.
- 27. Whisk the egg on the third plate.
- 28. Salt the cod strips.
- 29. Pepper the cod strips.
- 30. Coat one cod strip in the flour first.
- 31. Dip the floured strip into the egg next.
- 32. Coat the egg-dipped strip in the breadcrumbs last.
- 33. Press the coating lightly.
- 34. Repeat the process for all strips.
- 35. Fill the air fryer basket with four fish sticks.
- 36. Make sure the fill level is not too high.
- 37. Preheat the air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 38. Fry the fish sticks for six minutes.
- 39. Turn the fish sticks after half the time.
- 40. Fry the fish sticks for another six minutes.
- 41. Repeat the frying process with the remaining four sticks.
- 42. Serve the crispy fish sticks with the cucumber-dill salad.
