🍽️ Juicy Pork Steaks with Mojo Dip and Fried Vegetables

Ingredients
- Pork neck steaks 600 g
- BBQ spice mix 1 tsp
- Zucchini 2 pcs
- Pepper, red 1 pc
- Pepper, yellow 1 pc
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- Basmati rice 300 g
- Salt pinch
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Sugar pinch
- Chili, ground 1 tsp
- Cream cheese, plain 100 g
- Soy sauce 10 ml
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Rinse the pork steaks thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Rub the steaks with the spices and set them aside to let the flavors develop.
- 4. Wash the zucchini and cut off the ends.
- 5. Cut the zucchini lengthwise into four strips and slice them diagonally into thin pieces.
- 6. Wash the bell pepper, cut it into quarters, and remove the inside with the seeds.
- 7. Cut the bell pepper quarters into coarse chunks.
- 8. Halve the onion, peel it, and slice it into thin strips.
- 9. Place the rice in a pot and cover it with 700 milliliters of salted water.
- 10. Bring the water to a boil and let the rice cook covered for about 12 minutes over medium heat.
- 11. Stir the rice occasionally during the cooking time.
- 12. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pot over medium heat.
- 13. Add half of the onion strips to the hot oil and fry them for about 2 minutes.
- 14. Add the pepper chunks and one teaspoon of sugar, and cook everything for another 2 minutes.
- 15. Pour about 50 milliliters of water into the pot and let the mixture simmer covered for about 10 minutes.
- 16. Add the chili and the cream cheese to the sauce.
- 17. Blend the sauce until smooth using a hand blender or mixer.
- 18. Season the sauce to taste with salt and sugar.
- 19. Keep the sauce warm until serving.
- 20. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 21. Fry the pork steaks on all sides for about 2 minutes to seal in the juices.
- 22. Season the steaks with salt after frying.
- 23. Place the steaks in the preheated oven and bake them for about 10 to 12 minutes until done.
- 24. Leave the frying pan unwashed after removing the steaks.
- 25. Add one tablespoon of oil to the still hot pan with the pan drippings.
- 26. Fry the zucchini together with the remaining onion strips over medium heat for about 6 minutes.
- 27. Season the vegetables with soy sauce, salt, and sugar.
- 28. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork.
- 29. Season the rice with one to two pinches of salt.
- 30. Remove the steaks from the oven.
- 31. Plate the steaks, rice, and zucchini.
- 32. Serve the dish with the pepper sauce.
