🍽️ Crispy Pork Steaks with Pan-Fried Gnocchi and Sweet-Sour Apples

Ingredients
- Pork neck steaks 600 g
- Salt Pinch
- BBQ spice mix 1 tsp
- Spinach 200 g
- Apples, red 2 pcs
- Gnocchi, fresh 800 g
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Butter 4 tbsp
- Honey 1 tsp
- Pepper, black ground Pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Rinse the pork steaks under cold water and pat them completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 3. Rub the steaks generously with salt and a spice mix suitable for pork.
- 4. Wash the spinach and spin it dry in a salad spinner.
- 5. Wash the apples, cut them into quarters, and remove the core.
- 6. Cut the apple quarters into thin slices.
- 7. Bring about 4 liters of water with salt to a boil in a large pot.
- 8. Add the gnocchi to the boiling water.
- 9. Cook the gnocchi for about 4 minutes until they float to the surface.
- 10. Pour the gnocchi into a colander and let them drain well.
- 11. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
- 12. Sear the steaks in the hot pan for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- 13. Place the seared steaks on a baking sheet.
- 14. Finish cooking the steaks in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
- 15. Wrap the finished steaks in aluminum foil and let them rest.
- 16. Leave the pan from searing the steaks uncleaned.
- 17. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and honey to the hot pan.
- 18. Melt the butter and honey over medium heat while stirring for about 1 minute.
- 19. Fry the apple slices in the butter-honey mixture for about 2 minutes.
- 20. Remove the pan from the heat and set the apples aside covered.
- 21. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a clean frying pan over medium heat.
- 22. Fry the drained gnocchi in the butter for about 3 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally.
- 23. Add the dry spinach to the gnocchi.
- 24. Toss everything for about 2 minutes until the spinach wilts.
- 25. Season the gnocchi and spinach with salt at the end.
- 26. Plate the gnocchi.
- 27. Place the pork steaks and the caramelized apples alongside.
- 28. Serve the dish immediately and enjoy your meal.
