  7. 7. Cook the potatoes covered for about 20 minutes on medium heat.
  8. 8. Check if the potatoes are soft.
  9. 9. Peel the apples.
  10. 10. Remove the cores from the apples.
  11. 11. Cut the apples into large cubes.
  12. 12. Add the apple cubes to the pot about 10 minutes before the potatoes finish cooking.
  13. 13. Cut the leek lengthwise into two halves.
  14. 14. Remove the hard root end from the leek.
  15. 15. Slice the leek into thin strips.
  16. 16. Rinse the leek strips in a sieve.
  17. 17. Pat the pork neck steaks dry with kitchen paper.
  18. 18. Lightly pound the steaks flat.
  19. 19. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for a short time to temper.
