  9. 9. Check with a fork to see if the potatoes are soft.
  10. 10. Peel the onion.
  11. 11. Remove the hard root end of the onion.
  12. 12. Slice the onion into thin rings.
  13. 13. Wash the apples thoroughly.
  14. 14. Cut the apples into quarters.
  15. 15. Remove the core from the apple quarters.
  16. 16. Cut the cored apple pieces into wedges.
  17. 17. Rinse the lemon under running water.

  19. 19. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
