  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Beat butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl with a hand mixer until fluffy.
  3. 3. Work the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture one by one until well combined.
  4. 4. Gradually add flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder and mix them in.
  5. 5. Stir the sour cream into the batter briefly.
  6. 6. Divide the batter into two equal halves.
  7. 7. Pour the halves into two greased and floured springform pans with a diameter of 18 to 20 centimeters.
  8. 8. Smooth the surface of the batters in the pans.
  9. 9. Bake the cake layers in the oven for about 30 minutes.
  10. 10. Let the layers cool completely on a wire rack afterwards.
  11. 11. Peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the pit.
  12. 12. Cut one-third of the fruit into slices.
  13. 13. Dice the remaining fruit into small cubes.
  14. 14. Grate the white chocolate finely.
  15. 15. Whip the cream in a bowl until stiff.
  16. 16. Stir the grated chocolate briefly into the stiff cream.
  17. 17. Place one cake layer on a serving plate.
  18. 18. Drizzle the layer with egg liqueur if desired.
  19. 19. Spread half of the chocolate cream over the layer.
  20. 20. Sprinkle the mango cubes over the cream.
  21. 21. Place the second cake layer on top.
  22. 22. Spread the remaining cream on the top layer.
  23. 23. Arrange the mango slices in a star shape on the cake.
  24. 24. Serve the cake immediately.
