🍰 Chocolate Cake with Mango

Ingredients
- butter 125 g
- brown sugar 200 g
- salt pinch
- eggs 4 pcs.
- wheat flour, type 405 250 g
- baking powder 15 g
- cocoa powder 40 g
- sour cream 75 g
- mango 1 pcs.
- chocolate, white 50 g
- whipping cream 250 g
- egg liqueur 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
- 2. Beat butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl with a hand mixer until fluffy.
- 3. Work the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture one by one until well combined.
- 4. Gradually add flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder and mix them in.
- 5. Stir the sour cream into the batter briefly.
- 6. Divide the batter into two equal halves.
- 7. Pour the halves into two greased and floured springform pans with a diameter of 18 to 20 centimeters.
- 8. Smooth the surface of the batters in the pans.
- 9. Bake the cake layers in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- 10. Let the layers cool completely on a wire rack afterwards.
- 11. Peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the pit.
- 12. Cut one-third of the fruit into slices.
- 13. Dice the remaining fruit into small cubes.
- 14. Grate the white chocolate finely.
- 15. Whip the cream in a bowl until stiff.
- 16. Stir the grated chocolate briefly into the stiff cream.
- 17. Place one cake layer on a serving plate.
- 18. Drizzle the layer with egg liqueur if desired.
- 19. Spread half of the chocolate cream over the layer.
- 20. Sprinkle the mango cubes over the cream.
- 21. Place the second cake layer on top.
- 22. Spread the remaining cream on the top layer.
- 23. Arrange the mango slices in a star shape on the cake.
- 24. Serve the cake immediately.
